Nice point by Simon DeDeo: "without the possibility of being wrong, the mental model cannot change". It reminds me of ideas from Friedrich Froebel that perfect crystals are beautiful but lifeless; according to Froebel the developing mind is like a crystal that gets ever less symmetric, ever more complex and irregular, ever more 'organic'.
I am confused by the title ... are you possibly conflating the Immaculate Conception with the Virgin Birth? The Immaculate Conception refers to Mary's own conception without original sin and has nothing to do with the conception of Jesus without sex.
I am aware of the distinction and I considered including a disclaimer. But I have no obligation to Catholic or any other theological system and I just preferred the sound of the title I chose. Those more familiar with the metaphysics of original sin and of venture capitalists can decide whether or not the title is nevertheless appropriate for the subject matter.
That's too specific a question. But there are some people I would trust, for example the authors of the Stochastic Parrots paper.
What would be your "Dream Team" of nominees (by name, say) for "The US government's AI Safety and Security board"?

OK ... I was not suggesting that you have an obligation to Catholicism and I have decided that the title is confusing.
