Ooh I look forward to see this. Not coincidentally, I assume, Marguerite is the name of the beautiful woman Faust sells his soul for. I've long had an idea to write a novel about what She might sell Her soul for - my idea is it would not be a beautiful man but a beautiful theory.
That connection hadn't occurred to me. The character's full name is Marguerite Hoffmann, while the advisor's last name is Werner and the rival is Lucas Savelli. None of the other characters has a last name, except for the landlord, who has no first name. I don't know whether there's anything behind these choices.
Marguerite also means daisy, and "effeuiller la marguerite" is the original French version, with 5 options, of "He loves me… he loves me not."

It may be just coincidence. I love the Faust story and tend want to read resonances anywhere. I'll look out for the film. Thanks for the heads up.
