Footnote 4 should probably be withdrawn. Ernie Davis warned me yesterday that time stretching technology has been around for decades, and that I may have allowed myself to be suckered by ChatGPT, which (as has been widely observed) has a habit of making things up, including in this case perhaps an entire technology, to please its human partners. The point I was trying to make, however, is that I wouldn't object to the use of the technology if ChatGPT's story were true.

Touche! Today Masayoshi Son of Softbank said he'll be investing billions in AI so they can be "an architect of the future of humanity". How #noble of him. How #grateful we all should be.
