Michael, You linked the plagiarism and antisemitism allegations in your own footnotes. I surely don't have to make the case. Many thoughtful observers have made those allegations and backed them up. What could I add that hasn't already been written? And for that matter, read by you?
I note that you didn't threaten "Ilya" below with banning, even though they omitted their last name as I did. What did I write that triggered you? You are aware that many people, even on the left, were deeply concerned about Gay's remarks before Congress, and her thin and fraudulent academic record. Why won't she release the raw data from her thesis?

As for Steve L., who is still confused enough to believe this post is really about Claudine Gay or Elise Stefanik, you won't be hearing from him again until he reappears under a new pseudonym.
I don't have access to Carol Swain's Wall Street Journal article nor to the texts Claudine Gay supposedly plagiarized, so I cannot judge the validity of her accusations. I doubt the instances Swain cites are analogous to anything in the mathematics literature. Nor are these accusations in any way relevant to the main points of my post.
